Hagoita Bolt: This adds a Hagoita Bolt connexon system between two Structural Member(s)

Insert

To apply the tool, Select the Structural Member(s) to be considered as the male joist(s).
Press the Enter key to apply the selection.
Select the Structural Member to be considered as the female joist(s).
Press the Enter Key to finish, otherwise, repeat the selection process.
Two Hagoita bolt instances could be inserted in each connexon, one on each side of the beam.

Insert

To apply the tool, select the Structural Member(s) to be considered as the male joist(s),
Select the complementary Structural Member.

Behavior

The placement of the tool will be the centre of the two selected Structural Members.
You can’t change the position of the Tool.

Scarf Joint

Connects two Structural Members with a Scarf Joint.


Insert

To apply the tool, add two intersecting Structural Member(s) parallel to each other.
Place the handler on one of the Structural Member, and then select the supplementary Structural Member.
Select the magenta colored handler to parameterize the properties of the tool or create customized types.

Behavior

The position of the tool or Structural Member are not movable.

After doing that you must select the Female Structural Member, and the Male Structural Member will stretch to the Female Structural Member

If you change the position of the Male or Female Structural Member, the Tool will still function.

Stretch to Beam

Stretches a Structural Member against another Structural Member.
Extends an structural element(s) to a boundary formed by another structural element.

  

Insert

First select the Structural member to be stretched.
Press the Enter key to apply the selection.
Second, select the Structural member to be used as the boundary for the previously selected beam(s).
Press the Enter Key to finish, otherwise, repeat the selection process.
Multiple elements can be extended to the same boundary, by selecting multiple male Structural members.
Select the magenta colored handler to edit the gap dimension.
After doing that you must select the Female Structural Member, and the Male Structural Member will stretch to the Female Structural Member

Behavior

If you change the position of the Male or Female Structural Member, the stretch will still be attached with each other.

Connects two Structural Members with a Tenon on the Male Structural Member and a Mortise on the Female Structural Member.

After doing that you must select the Female Structural Framing, and the Male Structural Member will get a tenon and the female Structural Member a mortise.
The distance between the Male Structural Member must be close to the Female Structural Member

To change the face of the Arc, you can pick a new host for the tool family

Beam Cut

Create notches or trims on structural element(s) using the boundary profile from a selected structural element.

  

Insert

First select the structural member(s) to be used as a boundary.
Second, select the structural member(s) to be trimmed or notched.
Press the Enter Key to finish, otherwise, repeat the selection process.
Multiple elements can be trimmed or notched to the same boundary, by selecting multiple male structural members.
Select the magenta colored handler to edit the gap dimension properties.

Behavior

The placement of the tool will be on the center of the female beam
You can change the position of the Male Structural Member, and the tool will be replaced, you can't change the position of the Female Structural Member or the Family tool.
You see that the cut has not been maded, this is because the Male Structural Member is not been connected with the Female Structural Member.
To still keep the Beam Cut, the Male Structural Member must be in contact with the Female Structural Member.

Box Cut

Creates a rectangular shaped opening, cutting trough intervening walls, floors, roofs, structural members and columns.
You can cut a structural member with either an existing model line or draw a new model line.


Insert

The Box Cut tool is placed on a host element or a working plane.
Select the tool to parameterize its properties or create customized types.

Adds a Chamfer tool to a Structural Member.
You can select any point on a face to place the Chamfer.
The chamfer is made on the right side of the face, seen from the start of the beam.


Insert

Adds angled notches to the edge(s) of an structural member.
Select the magenta colored handler to parameterize the properties of the tool or create customized types.

Behavior

The placement of the tool will be the selected point
You can change the position on the selected face, the tool will be applied on the new position. (it’s movable)
To change the face of the Chamfer, you can pick a new host for the tool family
The Chamfer will be placed on the right edge of the selected face.

End Chamfer

Adds a chamfer to the front or rear face of structural member's edge(s).

Insert

Select the End Chamfer command.
You can select any point on a face to place the Chamfer. (this is simular to the Drill, Arc, Slot, Chamfer, Convex Concave Profile Tools).
The end chamfer is placed on the nearest end face.
Select the magenta colored handler to parameterize the properties of the tool or create customized types.

Behavior

The placement of the tool will be the selected point.
You can change the position on the selected face, the tool will be applied on the new position. (it’s movable).
To change the face of the End Chamfer, you can pick a new host for the tool family.
The End Chamfer will be placed to the nearest end of the selected point.

Convex Concave Profile

Adds a Convex or Concave profile to the front or rear face of an structural member.

Insert

Select the Convex Concave command.
Select a point on a face.(this is simular to the Drill, Arc, Slot, Chamfer, End Chamfer Tools)
Select the magenta colored handler to parameterize the properties of the tool or create customized types.

Behavior

The placement of the tool will be the selected point.
You can change the position on the selected face, the tool will be applied on the new position. (it’s movable).
To change the face of the Convex Concave, you can pick a new host for the tool family.
The Convex Concave will be cut at the selected point.

Face Cut

Trims structural members using as a boundary an intersecting face.
 

Insert

First, select the structural member to be affected by the surface of an intersecting element.
Second, select a surface to be used as boundary.
Press the Enter Key to finish, otherwise, repeat the selection process, structural member(s) and column(s) can be affected by roofs, walls and floors.
Select the edge of the roof where the structure Member needs to be cut.
Select the Structural Member twice

Behavior

You can't change the position of the Tool.


Multiple Cut

Adds a cut or stretches a Structural Member along a plane. 
The plane can be defined with a model line.
You can cut or stretch a structural member with either existing model lines or draw new model lines.


Insert

To apply the tool, select the appropriate option from the displayed dialog.

  

Second, select or draw a model line to be used as boundary.
Finally, select the side of the structural member to be preserved.
Press the Enter Key to finish. Structural member(s) and column(s) could also be either trimmed or extended to a model line. Multiple model lines can perform multiple notches.




Adds a Slot opening to structural member(s).
You can select any point on a face to place the Slot.


Insert

The Slot tool is placed on a host element or a working plane.
Select the tool to parameterize its properties or create customized types.

Behavior

The placement of the tool will be the selected point.
You can change the position on the selected face, the tool will be applied on the new position. (it’s movable).
To change the face of the Slot, you can pick a new host for the tool family.
